News from the Nucleus of the BWGCPE

In this page, we will publish information discussed during the meetings of the Board of the BWGCPE that we think may be of interest for the medical community or the industry.
The structures of the BWGCPE are changing !
It is now composed of three levels:
- The Core Nucleus: the president, vice-president, french and flemish secretary, treasurer, past president and president of the different study groups. The Core Nucleus is elected by the Nucleus members. This vote is ratified by the General Assembly. The role of the Core Nucleus is to cope with daily affairs. It is solely composed of cardiologists.
- The Nucleus: composed of the effective members and formerly called the Board. It is composed of people actively participating in the work of the BWGCPE.
- The Associate Members are people who partly or totally work in the field of arrhythmology.
The General Assembly comprises all associate and effective members. Its role is to ratify the election of the Core Nucleus and also any important modification of the statutes. They meet at the annual scientific sessions of the BWGCPE or are consulted by post/fax/Email.
The Study Groups of the BWGCPE are constituted by effective members. The purpose of these small groups is to study specific problems in the arrhythmology field (e.g. Task Force) and to communicate and discuss their conclusions with the Nucleus members before possible pulblication.
